Arsenic Treatment Plant Operator responsibilities include:

  • Operates and maintains arsenic remediation equipment and water production, storage and distribution facilities.
  • Inspects and evaluates equipment for proper operation; makes repairs or arranges for repairs to be made as needed.
  • Maintains and repairs pumps, motors, valves and other equipment.
  • Collects samples and analyzes data and recommends options for maintaining proper levels of service.
  • Maintains computer databases and written logs of daily activities.
  • Maintain treatment records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  • Maintain certification for Water Treatment Plant Operator through Washington State Department of Health.
  • All other responsibilities listed under the Maintenance II description.
