Planning & Zoning

The Planning & Zoning Agency reviews proposed amendments to zoning ordinances, site plans, plat applications, and makes recommendations to the Council regarding the current and future development of Electric City.
The capital facilities plan is a 6 (six) year plan of capital projects with estimated costs and proposed methods of financing.

The Comprehensive plan is a document designed to guide the future actions of a community. It presents a vision for the future, with long-range goals and objectives for all activities that affect the local government.

Feel free to review draft copies of the Comprehensive Plan Amendments for 2019 and the Draft Zoning Code Amendments. Please call or email us if you have questions or concerns. Public workshops and hearings are posted in the Star Newspaper prior to the meetings.
